Everything I hoped it was
I purchased this tent for a specific annual 5 day event in the blistering sun and often heavy rains. After the first year I am pleased to report it was just what I was hoping for.
Set up says you should have 4-8 people, but really you can do it with two. We had 3 people and did the initial set up in about 30 minutes. The weight isn't an issue as you stand up the last side so the weight is mostly on the poles already in. I like how the end walls can be rolled up and left installed. We bought 4 separate large screw ground stakes and ratchet straps to further secure this tent beyond the decent system it comes with. It withstood heavy winds and rain beautifully.
The quality is as advertised. It is water proof and durable. I will be treating it kindly to get as many years from it as possible, but there is nothing dainty or cheap about the tent material.
It is heavy. I bought the 3 carrying bags for it and even made a little dolly for the poll bag as it would always require two people to carry without a little wheel system. The extra purchase of the bags is nice. They have enough room and make packing a storage convenient. The black cloth is not high quality and already wore through a little bit when dragged around a few feet in my garage. Again, this stuff is heavy so dragging is a lot of wear.
Storing dry will be key, but this should be a good investment in a quality 20 x 20' tent for the foreseeable future.
